I’ve been sharing an iTunes library on a Mac server for years which has worked fine for our Mac computers. But, as our library has grown, our iOS devices are rarely able to use the Shared option to load the library. I needed an easy solution to stream my media to our iOS devices and StreamToMe has taken care of all my needs. We have two iPads and two iPhones (5s, 4s), and they all have been working fine. I did have a issue where I had to contact the developer, and he responded in less than 24 hrs with a helpful suggestion that took care of my issue. This app is well worth the price and the prompt support is a real plus.

This app was the solution to viewing all my movies & TV shows stored on my EHD. Playback has never been a problem & I think it’s superior to the video app that comes with the iPad. My only issue now is that with the iOS8 update I cannot play the most recent season of a TV show that I’ve downloaded from the iTunes store. Hopefully this is something the developers are working on & I would gladly pay for this app if that’s what is needed to get this issue resolved!

This is a well-designed and expertly coded app that does exactly what it says on the tin. The UI is easy to understand. Other streaming apps I have tried were temperamental and would drop connections randomly. This one is rock solid. Great job and worth every penny. You get what you pay for!

This app streams from my computer iTunes music flawlessly, and Id give it the highest rating except for the truly terrible player interface. The buttons are minimal with no audio level, and the plain gray background is not only unattractive, but shows off the white stroked type so bad, its nearly illegible. And theres no customization possible. A little work on the user interface (check out Groove for a fine example), and this streaming player could not be the best. If you really want to knock it out of the park, include more tag data, genre, composer, album, etc.; theres plenty of room for it.

This is what I have been searching for. With this app and the program servetome on my MacBook I can stream anything from my MacBook to my Apple TV. Or I can stream any content to my iPhone or iPad. This solves the storage problems with iPads. Now I my iPad has access to all my movies on my mac or external hard drive. Videos music or pics! Works with many different file formats. Highly recommend.

This is very easy to get up and running. It does a great job of streaming any kind of content from your Mac to your iOS device. The Mac program (free) is also easy and quite full featured. Use the beta v4 for later OS X versions. Highly recommended!!!

I bought this app because of the loss off music home sharing in iOS 8.4. The app works perfectly but there will be some sorting and cover art issues. I highly recommend this app if you want to stream your iTunes music to your iOS devices running iOS 8.4.

After IOS 8.4 disables iTunes Home Sharing capabilities this app enabled me to stream my music from my Mac computers to my IOS devices again! Yeah! And, unlike Home Sharing, the iTunes app doesnt need to be open in order for it to work. I have limited my review to 4 stars because the interface is rather inelegant and displays your music library as folders. Not as pretty as the iTunes interface, but it definitely gets the job done and is easy to setup and use. At $2.99 it is definitely cheaper than a subscription to iTunes Match or Apple Music!

I have used this app for years and it is simply amazing! The main thing that I use it for is to stream videos. I have is mapped to my home computer and I have been able to stream videos in Afghanistan! I travel a lot and being able to leave my hardware at home and just stream it is amazing. I also use it a lot with my Apple TV with Air Play. What I love about this is that I can start a stream, air play it and minimize the app on my phone and it will continue to play. Best Feature ever! Finally I have not run across a video file this app wont play. The only thing Missing is local storage.

It does everything youd want a PC-to-mobile-over-wifi-or-Internet streamer to do... EXCEPT, its missing a few key features. As for streaming video, its good, but Air Video HD is better (they could learn a few things). EXCEPT, Air Video HD is crap for streaming music which StreamToMe does great, EXCEPT, it really needs to add the ability to play (and shuffle play) entire directories (ie., to play all the albums under one bands heading, or all the artists in your collection, or all of one genre,.. etc.). This is a common feature to most music players that this one is missing. Otherwise, its very adequate and does the job fine, EXCEPT it COULD be better.

Ive had this app for over two years. It works over Wi-Fi and even works when Im away from home. I have it installed on all my devices and I didnt have to pay any extra. I love that I can watch all my shows and movies from anywhere.

Love this app- does pretty much all I want it to do. Ive been using it for several years. The developer always keeps it updated for new iOS versions and iPhone screen sizes. And I greatly prefer the "on the fly" conversions streamtome does over high-footprint alternatives like plex that constantly scan your hard drive.

Used to be my go to, but since Mac OS updates the server doesnt seem to be able to find my photo album data.xml or whatever file. So even though I can select access iPhoto library that functionality doesnt work anymore. This was my go to app to access all my macs photos without having to use a cloud storage service. Now it only really does videos , which a dozen other apps do better.

Stream/Serve to me is one of the easiest server-to-iOS softwares Ive ever used. Routinely updated and bug fixed and the developer is very responsive.

V 3.12 fixed an external address text entry problem that cropped up in iOS 9, so the app is back to top-notch performance again. This app has better functionality than Apples Music and Video apps, and its way quicker in searching for locally stored content than using iTunes. Ive used this app on both iPads and iPhones for years and hope to keep using it for years into the future.

Does exactly what it says it does and it was very easy to setup the companion ServeToMe app on the Mac that I’m using as a home server. Haven’t had a hiccup yet as far as being able to view or play any type of media file. Highly recommended.

This app has been an essential app on my phones and iPads since I first discovered it. Especially so if you have an Apple TV. Awesome app and worth it.

Have been using for several years, I use other media servers too, but StreamToMe I use the most because of its ease of use. Other media servers frustrating you? Get StreamToMe and say goodbye to problems. Developer is responsive to questions too! 5 star all the way.
