Playback UI very outdated

Not sure if you just cant let go of the past, but the playback interface is long since out of date and inferior to a standard iOS 7/8 playback UI.

Ive been using this App since it was first released and love it. The navigation UI was updated to a somewhat iOS 7-esque interface, but the playback interface remains....iOS 6 and older style overlays.

It is not ideal to have the controls interfere with the video, which is precisely why they were improved upon by being moved to the unused space above and below a video with iOS 7/8.

For an app that relies upon the iOS playback interface, this should have been updated long ago.

Im not sure why some devs think users want their personal opinion on what the UI should look like built in to the Apps...we dont. What we want is the UI Apple spent countless man hours developing for our benefit.
