This app works every time. Image and audio quality are very good. Easy to set up and quite versatile. My library is on an external hard drive connected by USB2 and speed is not an issue. Thanks!

Dont buy this app unless you know how to program a network. It isnt user friendly at all. I should be able to install the app and it should run. I expect more service. I shouldnt have to read a thousand pages of instructions on how to install network routers, ports, Upnp/nat-pmp, whatever the heck that is. I sent a note saying I was having trouble and they sent a link to a site with more instructions than an ikea desk set. Waste of time and money, of which I want back.

Im so happy my friend recommended this app to me. It took the frustration out of setting up a server. With a few simple instructions I was up and running. Works perfectly for me every time.

No problems here. I use this for local and remote connections. I use this app a lot and had a hard time with the alternatives.

I use this App to stream videos and music to my iPad. It finds all of my Media files. This is also the first app I found that can stream DV-AVI files. The set up is very straight forward. Outstanding in every way.

love the app. use it every day. doesnt need a lot of work to figure out; install on device, install on computer. does the job the majority of the time. when it doesnt I usually just reload the app and voilá. the interface is getting a bit drab and hope a nice refreshing update is in the works. I would recommend it as an alternative to other more expensive options..

App stutters video then crashes after maybe 15 minutes on iOS 8. Last version worked great.

I’ve been a StreamToMe user for a few years now and it’s allowed me to craft and curate custom “channels” that stream to my AppleTV. Basically a dream come true.

Not sure if you just cant let go of the past, but the playback interface is long since out of date and inferior to a standard iOS 7/8 playback UI. Ive been using this App since it was first released and love it. The navigation UI was updated to a somewhat iOS 7-esque interface, but the playback interface remains....iOS 6 and older style overlays. It is not ideal to have the controls interfere with the video, which is precisely why they were improved upon by being moved to the unused space above and below a video with iOS 7/8. For an app that relies upon the iOS playback interface, this should have been updated long ago. Im not sure why some devs think users want their personal opinion on what the UI should look like built in to the Apps...we dont. What we want is the UI Apple spent countless man hours developing for our benefit.

I have worked extensively with four different iOS streaming applications/servers, and this one is BY FAR the best. The other three had various issues that drove me nuts and took the enjoyment out of streaming. This one JUST WORKS! Zero issues. The only two suggestions I have at all are (1) return to the last accessed directory when the application is brought up (instead of returning to the root directory of the streaming server each time) and (2) add a jump FORWARD 30 seconds option (it already allows a 30 second jump backward in a video). But the big thing is that it just works, smoothly and without issues. For reference, my setup is an Alienware laptop running Windows 7 as the server, and three family members with three different iPads (iPad Mini, iPad 3, iPad Air) streaming to three different Apple TVs. Works perfectly!

Fantastic app that Ive used for years with no issue. Does everything I expect it to do, flawlessly. Absolute must have for anyone needing streaming.

Works on iPhone but nothing streams on iPad, dont buy till they fix

Amazing app!! I never leave reviews but had to in this case. I wanted to run a Mac mini as a server for all my media and specifically be able to stream over cellular data. This app allows me to do that flawlessly!!! To the developers.. Maybe work on the UI a bit next, if it were able to load set album artwork and just in general had a more modern feel the app would seem more developed. Other than that this app couldnt be more perfect.

Ive been using SreamToMe & the corresponding ServeToMe server application for your computer for years and love them, the company and support! Whether streaming my media within my LAN network or WAN over the Internet, this app delivers! It even works wonderfully over my cell network when not able to use WiFi far better than others. The visual & audio quality is excellent, with many configuration settings & thoughtful features like remembering your place if you stop viewing mid-stream (no pun), & various settings to make sure the audio & video are in sync. STM also will stream formats that Apple doesnt support like .avi and others so you dont have to bother converting to watch first. And the transcoding is on the fly, flawless and works over cell if not near a WiFi connection. Plus they added support and access to your iTunes Library! I couldnt be happier. You will be too!

Tried so many different options before I found this one to get my media to me. This one was set up in less than 5 minutes and is working flawlessly for me over 4G. Simple, easy.
